CHINESE LETTUCE

The Chinese lettuce is a centuries-old Chinese lettuce variety that grows like a feather duster on a thick stem. The rather firm, slightly bitter leaves are sometimes eaten, but the stems are 50 cm long and 5 cm thick. The taste is a bit between lettuce and celery with a hint of pandan. The structure is like a firm cucumber without seeds and the color is beautifully translucent green. Surprisingly tasty and easy vegetable!

Did you know..

Cut off the butt, all the yellowish should be off.Then coarse peeling, the white stripes are of a hard, woody structure that can spoil the eating pleasure. Then cut into slices or strips and wok or blanch briefly. One minute is enough. Raw in a salad is also possible.
