Fuji apple

The Fuji apple is an apple variety that was developed in 1939 at the Tohoku Research Station in Morioka, Japan. It is a cross between two American apple varieties, the Red Delicious and the old Virginia Ralls Genet apples. Fuji apples are large, smooth and have dense flesh that is sweeter and crispier and juicier than many other apples, making them popular with consumers around the world.

Did you know that

Apples, like all other fruits, are very healthy. This is partly because they contain a lot of fiber. The skin of an apple contains even more fiber than the flesh, a good reason to eat an apple with skin! In addition, an apple is handy to take with you as a healthy snack.

It is better not to eat the seeds of the apple. They contain the substance amygdaline, which after biting the seeds open is converted into the toxic substance cyanide. Eating a few seeds every now and then will not cause any problems, but still you should try to avoid them.
